Over time all analog audio storage mediums, and some digital storage mediums, degrade in quality. This quality loss may manifest as simple pops and clicks associated with a dusty vinyl record, to completely unplayable tapes that may damage playback devices.

In order to combat further damage, or loss of your analog mediums, consider allowing us to physically restore and transfer them to a digital format. Once made digital, noise, pops, and clicks associated with the medium can be removed to restore your music to its original quality. Further adjustments can made to bring the quality of the audio up to professional levels.

Analog formats we can handle:

½ inch and 2 inch Reel to Reel Tape
DAT Cassettes
VXA Cassettes
Cassette Tape
33⅓, 45 rpm Vinyl Records

Basic Services Included:

Normalization: Loudest track will be normalized to -1 dB, others will be selectively matched, resulting in the final product sounding like a coherent album.

Stripping Silence: Silence will be stripped and fades will be added to the beginnings and ends of the tracks.

Splitting and Naming Tracks: Tracks will be split and named according to the track sheet or appropriate information. Track names will be embedded to the ID3 tags of .mp3 files.

Web Upload: We will upload your files for immediate download regardless of your chosen final format.

Additional Services:

Enhanced Transfer: Compression, limiting, and EQ will be applied to enhance and polish the original tracks as desired.

Noise Reduction: Pops, clicks, signal noise, etc. will be removed to the extent at which the original audio remains unaffected. Samples of your audio will be provided upon request.

Physical Restoration: Cut tapes, broken DAT lids, warped vinyl, etc. will be repaired before transfer.

Archival Quality Packaging: After transfer, your original formats will be packaged in airtight bags with silicon gel packets to combat further damage over time.

Embedded Album Art: Album Art, provided by you, will be embedded into the ID3 tags of MP3 files.

Archival Storage: We will store all transfer data and pro tools sessions on our internal servers for future access. Remember, if your data isn’t backed up in at least three places, it isn’t backed up at all!
